Relaxing week end on Lake Como with the Motorboat

Welcome to Lake Como, one of the most fascinating lakes in Europe, the most ‘James Bond’ of the Italian lakes. Parts of the 2006 Bond movie “Casino Royal”, some sets of the “Star war” saga and “Ocean twelve” were filmed here.

Como’s mountain-backed shores are furrowed with ancient paths that wind through attractive villages.

This short break on lake Como will let you enjoy both neoclassical villas whose rooms and gardens are open for public viewing, and the relaxing life of villages along the shores.

And, also, you will have the chance to taste typical cuisine in a family-style atmosphere.

DAY 1 Friday

Arrival in Dervio and accommodation in a double room with jacuzzi in a local B&B.

A typical dinner will be served in the B&B kitchen. The cook will show you how local savoury recipes handled down in nannies’ cookbook are prepared where ingredients coming from the lake and the mountain meet.

DAY2 Saturday

Round 4 Hours motorboat tour ( private or semi-private ) from Dervio.

You will go along the cost to admire Varenna and Villa Monastero, the small village of Fiumelatte and shortest river in Itlay also mentioned by Leonardo Da Vinci and Pescallo. You will stop in Bellagio to taste a real Italian Ice-cream and In Villa Del Balbianello to admire one of the most beautiful and rich villas on Como Lake where “Star War Movie” was shot and now is a museum devoted to Monzino an Italian North pole explorer.

Back to Dervio at the end of the boat tour.

DAY3 Sunday

According to your departure schedule, you can enjoy a walk to Bellano along the hills surrounding the lake or take the train or taxi to Varenna where you can enjoy the lake promenade and Villa Monastero gardens.

Price per person 450 euro based on 2 people travelling

Inclusions:

  • 2-night accommodation in a double room with jacuzzi, breakfast included, in BB in Dervio on Lake Como.

  • 4-hour boat trip on a semi-private motorboat, including stop in Bellagio and in Villa del Balbianello; English-speaking driver

  • 2 typical dinners to taste cuisine from Lario area, including starter, main course, desert, wine and water, Italian coffee.

  • Return train from Milan to Dervio
